Raymond Johnson-Brown

Raymond Jordan Johnson-Brown (they/he) is a Two-Spirit, Ethnic Anomaly, and multi-hyphenate creative working between the stage, the screen, and the systems that shape people’s lives. A dancer, performer, and storyteller with over 15 years of work, they carry the same attention to rhythm, relationship, and what a room needs into frontline care, research, and the work of changing how institutions function across health, education, child welfare, and food systems. Their practice holds art and structural analysis in the same hand, grounded in a belief that care is built through relationships, community knowledge, and accountability, and oriented toward collective liberation. Raymond has performed and created across film, television, and stage while leading and supporting work with organizations including Right to Food Canada, the Canadian Mental Health Association, and the Wildlife Conservation Society of Canada. They currently serve as Research Coordinator at McGill University and Equity Integration Specialist at CAMH, while completing a joint Master’s degree in Social Work and Law at McGill.
